How can I tell if my roof is leaking?
Because of ceilings, you can’t necessarily see if the roof is leaking. However, there are subtle signs that may indicate possible leaks. When you see any of these, call a plumber to check out your roof:
Does my entire house need gutters?
As a rule of thumb, gutters are needed at the bottom of any roof slope. If your roof slopes in all directions then yes, your house will need gutters all around it. Otherwise, it only needs gutters on sides where the roof is angled downward.
Why do gutters drip?
Aside from holes, another common reason for dripping gutters are clogs. They can cause water to overflow and contribute to leaks. Water should run off smoothly to the downpipe and away from the house, but clogged gutters prevent this from happening.
